Ah, the Tote. The true haul-all of the bag world. The shape that maximizes space so you can toss things in and carry them with ease. After all, isn’t a bag meant to hold items? It is. I know it is. Even if some novelty bags—and yes, even the highly sought-after Mini Kelly—make us think otherwise.

And I, myself, am a tote girl. A girl who treats her bag like a traveling car, an extension of me, carrying every item I think I might need. I used to lean on totes constantly, mostly with the mind of someone with anxiety. What do you mean you don’t plan for being trapped in an elevator, having a panic attack, and needing both a snack and enough water so you don’t faint? Just me?

So it feels fitting to share one of my recent totes, one I’ve come to truly adore. This bag pulled me back to Saint Laurent, this time without the oversized, heavy logo hardware. It’s the Saint Laurent Y Tote, and I’m going to tell you everything you’d want to know.

Let’s get purseonal!
